About Dr. Robert Houser

Dr. Robert S. Houser of Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery of Columbus, Ohio Inc, is a Diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS Board Certified Plastic Surgeon) and a Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. As an ABPS board certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Houser has extensive training and experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery for all areas of the body.

A native of central Ohio, Dr. Houser received his undergraduate training at The Ohio State University and medical training at Ohio University. Following medical school, Dr. Houser completed six years of residency. The final two years of his training were dedicated solely to Plastic Surgery at The Ohio State University.

In 2003, Dr. Houser joined his father (Dr. Robert G. Houser) in Plastic Surgery practice at Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery of Columbus, Inc. Dr. Robert S. Houser became a solo practitioner in August, 2006 upon his father’s retirement. He feels fortunate that he was able to retain the same highly skilled and caring surgical nursing staff who worked with his father for many years.

With over ten years of surgical experience, Dr. Houser contributes to resident education both at Ohio State University in the Plastic Surgery program as well as in the general surgery program at Mount Carmel Medical Center.

Dr. Houser lives just north of Columbus, in Delaware County, with his wife and two children. He is proud to support Jan's Place, The Race for the Cure, Buckeye Cruise for Cancer, Junior League of Columbus, and the Breast Cancer Survivor’s Rowing Team of Central Ohio.
